We place a high value on computing and digital learning as part of our curriculum and actively encourage pupils to explore a wide range of modern technologies. From interactive screens and laptops to tablets and iPads, our children have access to a variety of hardware and software that supports learning, creativity and the development of key digital skills they will need now and in the future.

Alongside these opportunities, we recognise the importance of teaching pupils how to stay safe online and how to behave responsibly when using the internet and online communities. Online safety is of paramount importance at Hodge Clough  and it is something we actively teach, monitor and revisit throughout the year.

We understand that our parents and carers are equally concerned about keeping children safe when using the internet, both in school and at home. To support this, there are a number of links below which include guidance on online safety, advice for starting conversations with children, and specific information relating to online gaming. We have also included links to trusted external organisations that offer further support and up-to-date advice.
