Our RE Curriculum
At Hodge Clough Primary School we aim to develop pupils’ knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other principal world religions by studying religious traditions and world-views. By exploring issues within and across faiths, pupils learn to understand and respect different religions, beliefs, values and traditions and their influence on individuals, societies, communities and cultures.
The curriculum for RE aims to ensure that all pupils:
• Make sense of a range of religious and non-religious beliefs
• Understand the impact and significance of religious and non-religious beliefs
• Make connections between religious and non-religious beliefs, concepts, practices and ideas studied
At Hodge Clough Primary our teaching of RE follows the latest guidance given in the agreed syllabus for Oldham (SACRE).
