An Evening With Professor Brian Cox

What a wonderful evening we had!

The children learnt lots of amazing facts and were all impeccably behaved and showed such enthusiasm.

Hopefully we have some budding scientists.

Did anyone manage to spot the red star on the way home?

Investigating Water Resistance

Year 5 have investigated water resistance in Science. We used playdoh to see which shapes have the most/least water resistance and compared spheres, cones and cubes.

We also discussed how water resistance helps or hinders us when swimming. Lots of children enjoyed talking about push and glide in the water and how this creates a more streamlined shape to help us travel further with minimal effort. We linked this to boats and will be making our own next week!

Science Week in Nursery Feb 24

It's Science Week in the Nursery. We have loved dressing up as mad scientists!

Parachute Challenge

Year 1s have had lots of fun during Science Week designing and making parachutes as part of our whole school challenge!
