English: 
We have been reading Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White, exploring themes of friendship, loyalty, and kindness. The children have answered various comprehension style questions and created a book report. They also took part in persuasive writing, drafting letters to the Prime Minister to share their ideas and opinions using imaginative ideas to improve school life. 

Maths: 
In Mathematics, we have focused on place value, deepening our understanding of numbers. We practised using this knowledge to solve problems involving addition and subtraction, developing both written and mental strategies.  This term, we consolidated our 2,5 & 10 times tables and related division facts. 

Science: 
Our Science topic, Animals including Humans, helped us learn about skeletons, muscles, and how they work together to support movement and protect vital organs. The children compared human and animal skeletons and carried out investigations to explore how joints function. 

Geography: 
In Geography, we explored the Counties and Cities of the United Kingdom, identifying key physical and human features of different landscapes. The children learned to read maps and use atlases to locate important landmarks and regions across the UK. 

Spanish: 
In Spanish, pupils practised basic greetings and simple conversational phrases. They learned how to introduce themselves, ask how someone is, and respond appropriately, building confidence in spoken Spanish. 

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education): 
Our PSHE theme was ‘Being Me in My World’. Together, we created our Class Charter, agreeing on shared rights and responsibilities to help make our classroom a positive and respectful learning environment. 

PE (Physical Education): 
In PE, we developed coordination, rhythm, and teamwork through dance. The children worked collaboratively to learn and perform a routine, expressing ideas through movement and timing. 

Computing: 
In Computing, we investigated computer networks and how they link together. The children learned about how information is shared between devices, the roles of servers and routers, and why networks are important in everyday life, both at school and beyond. 

Religious Education (RE): 
In RE, our focus has been on Judaism and the idea of covenants—special promises between God and His people. We learned about Moses and the Ten Plagues, exploring their importance in Jewish history and faith. The story of Noah’s Ark helped us think about obedience, faith, and new beginnings. 

Music: 
In Music, we explored ballads, learning about how songs can tell stories and express emotions. The children practised singing a range of traditional and modern ballads and then wrote their own versions to accompany an animated film, combining creativity, rhythm, and storytelling through music.
